I've never had an opportunity - because of a fulltime job - to apply to any of the Ann Arbor shows. Retirement has solved that issue and created another one. Which show to apply for? I'm a Michigan-based encaustic artist (mixed media). Thoughts? Strategies? What's worked for you? Thanks - Fletcher

Good advice there guys. Mighty appreciative!
Totally agree with both Mark and Larry's posts. Apply to them all ... what really helps at this event is longevity, or if not really long building a customer base helps a lot.
Depends on your price range. I've been accepted to all of them, but went for "the original" - I've done it for 5? might be 6 years now. First few years were a bit slow, then I developed a following, or perhaps my work has gotten better, or perhaps my luck. who knows. deadline is 2/18/25. Like yourself, I had a full time job when I first applied. Organizers of the show are great.
You can apply to them all but only do one show if accepted to more than one. Personally I prefer the Main Street section of the Guild show, but have done well at the others also. But my information might be as dated as my age. But the artists I've spoken to like the Main Street section of the Guild.
