Hello - I’m looking for info regarding a more economical alternative to Pro Panels for a semi permanent, professional indoor installation of 2D works.
Any experience or advice??

I have used hollow-core doors for this type of installation. Pair them up and hinge them together. Use 1x2 to brace them across the top. The only drawback to this approach is the height (80") is about as large as doors get. Paint the whole assembly and leave it in place. Cheaper than propanels for a semi-permanent display, and looks more like a wall, as you can paint it any color you want.

Same... I'll probably just end up using extra propanels. At least they will look great.
