We just got our invitation to show at  Ft. Worth Main street and have never done that venue before. We would appreciate the advice of some of the vets who have experience with this one as to which booth locations are most desirable, which hotels are most convenient, what are some of the things you have learned that you can pass on to us?

  • As far as hotels, Fort Worth is more expensive than most Texas cities. If you want to walk to the show, the only hotels within walking distance are 3 star. The best I could do on priceline on one of these was $80 for the new Omni, a pretty good price considering the show discount was around $150, I think. I also used the Homestead Inn, near the zoo, a short drive from the show. Through Checkinn it was $49 two years ago. Since that company changed it might be different now, but that room was decent enough, with a kitchen, and the least comfortable bed ever. The parking for the show are pay lots that are within a block or two, depending on your booth location, of the show, not expensive and pretty convenient.

Someone asked the same question a few days ago about booth locations. As for lodging, do you want to walk or drive?
