I ordered an ABC Canopy from Amazon without noticing it didn't say it was fire retardant. I contacted the manufacturer who sent me documentation showing a Canadian standard - CAN/ULC-S109-03. I've asked about CPAI-84 or NFPA 701 but so far they haven't answered. Does anyone have any experience with the Canadian standard and whether or not it will be accepted?
Thanks!

I've also wondered about the fire retardant requirements but have no answer. I have another question about tent requirements. In some juried applications it says a professional grade tent is required. Does the white Caravan tent that I bought from Costco for about $230 meet the professional grade requirement?
I have done several shows that stipulate that the canopies must be fire retardant, but so far, no one has checked for it.
Hi Bonnie,
I am wondering about your question "whether or not it will be accepted?"
What event are you looking at that has fire retardant requirements?
Maybe I've not been reading enough of the fine print on those prospectuses.....
Hi Karen,
I'm hoping to apply to the Gig Harbor Art Fest in Washington State. Their application states
"Your tent must be fire-retardant and you must have a fire extinguisher in your tent. The fire marshall checks the tents on Saturday morning."
