The art Festival in Richmond is Arts In the Park. I am a local to Richmond and have done this show the past few years and it is not as good as it used to be. They let just about anything and everything into that show,,,,to me,,,its more crafts then art now. I would highly suggest applying to the A-RTS @ Rockville Town Center show. It is a first time show but the show but put on by an oraganized group. I would think that people attending the Silver Spring show would most likely attend this show also being they are so close. It would be like two great shows just a short distance apart. Hopefully there will be a decent crowd at both and not just all at either one or the other.

I am pretty sure this is the first year for this particular event. It is put on by the same people that do the Bethesda Row Festival in the fall so they should know what they are doing. The only problem I could see with the Rockville one is that it will be competing for customers with the Maryland Art Festival in Silver Spring Md which is a Paragon event. Both are scheduled for the same weekend and they are only 10 miles apart. I have not decided on either one of those two since I would not have the expenses of travel or lodging for both. There is also an Art Festival in Richmond Va on that same weekend. Talk about many decisions for one weekend in May.
