Hi, I'm Thea, of thea fine, beading design. I just found this site and am glad to be here. I'm a bead weaver, a maker of beaded jewelry that is sewn together one bead at a time to create wearable art. I've met with some success in my art, and have just come off the 2013 American Craft Council show in Baltimore for the second year. It was a challenge to get into the show, and a bigger challenge to remain IN the show.
I've got a lot of questions about other shows on the East Coast and elsewhere and will be checking in for help on them. I'm the "queen" of the wait list and need some new ideas.... For example, does anyone have any input on the Artirider show in Morristown NJ in December? Is traffic good? And what about the combined show at the Javits Center in NYC in the fall? It's a far way for people to go to the piers and the price is high....is it a good show?
AND I'm looking to add some new displays (dynamic displays) to my booth. If anyone has some gently used ones with black tops, that they're ready and able to sell, I'm all ears. Contact me at theafinebeadingdesign@gmail.com.
To check out my work, please go to www.theafine.com.
I'm also in Facebook and have a blog...so I'm busy!!! And that's a good thing for an artist.

Hi Thea, Your bead weaving is lovely and your website is great. I'm sure by now you are finding your way around this site.
Hello Thea and welcome to our group. We do have a lot of information here that our members have shared with each other. I am sure you will find it useful.
Check to see if those shows are listed at www.artshowreviews.com. They may be and if they are you may find the information there you are looking for.
Buying and selling is only allowed in our classified forum. Please look around there to see if someone is selling display cases that may appeal to you. We have many items posted for sale there.
Hope you become an active member here.
Hi Thea and welcome to AFI! I'm sure someone will be able to help with your questions, however they don't all check the new members area, so do post your queries in the relevant section(s). Don't forget the search function, there is so much information already here that will be useful!
Thanks Annette!
