$50,000 in prizes at the Space Coast Art Festival

Hi Connie, Yes, I was invited. As I'm new at this I will try to give you some feedback. The show was very good, the weather was wonderful, there was a hugh crowd of visitors, both days were very busy, with Saturday having the largest attendance. As a local artist sales for me were very good and almost the same each day. Set up began on Friday at 2PM and continued on Sat. AM. It was an easy set up, and tear down. It was nice having committee members helping artists maneuver through the parking lots to their spaces. There was overnight parking for larger vehicles including motor homes within walking distance and also many restaurants. As a potter having a truck and cargo trailer, that was greatly appreciated as we are almost always 1st in and last out each day. I saw security people both days at 6 AM and in the evening while closing up my booth. My booth was in a parking lot facing the beach with a nice breeze. There were many committee members available during set up and during the show who continually ask if we needed help or a break, etc., they were all very friendly and "happy" which was very nice. I have visited this show as a guest before and the quality of the art is great! The crowd at this show always seems to be in a good mood, maybe because of the holiday? I was very excited to have had a large tray of mine selected for jurying. I did not win a prize this time, however the winning pieces of work were spectacular and I was happy to be considered. There were also Patron Awards and I did receive one of those. I would highly recommend this show to anyone, buyers and artists.
