Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh presents a celebration of locally created handicrafts just in time for the holiday season with a pop-up marketplace called I Made It! Jr.The I Made It! Market will appear on November 22 from noon – 4 pm in the Museum’s Great Hall and Theater. This is free event, Museum admission is not included. More than 50 talented craftpeople from across the Pittsburgh region will present unique goods geared primarily to children (don’t worry, there will be loads of items for adults too!)Shoppers will find eco-friendly items made with recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials, cruelty-free body products for everyone including the Fido, and clothing such as handspun, hand-dyed wool hats, mittens and scarves. Some crafters will offer hand tooled one-of-a-kind toys made from fabric and wood. If you look carefully, you'll even find jewelry made from some familiar kitchenware! If your family finds all of the creativity inspiring, make sure you take home a listing of the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s Fall Hands-On Crafting Demonstrations happening throughout December. Workshops will be held by members of the Pittsburgh Craft Collective and include beginning knitting, bookmaking, beaded beads, and how to make your own lip balm. For a complete listing of vendors and activities taking place at the November 22 I Made It!
