Thank you Karole, thanks everyone, I will let you know which one I bought as soon as I do. Right now I need a camera to photograph my painting with. My kodak leaves a lot to be desired.

Paul,
Good Luck with your camera and tent purchases!! Hope we helped you with some good info.. My tent is still going strong, have had only 1 incident with it- need to waterproof the top again. Any boat canvas shop can do that for you. I live on the coast of Maine, and do shows outside in all weather- from sunny to downpours, with strong wind gusts(60 mph) or more. from 1 day to week long events, in every possible location you can think of. Beaches, farms, parking lots, college campuses, parks, lakeside, street fairs, and Fair Grounds. Every tent needs sta-bars- unequivocally. And every tent needs to be properly weighted and tied down. I learned that my first year. The sta-bars prevent your tent legs from blowing out, keep it more stable, and provide an anchor for mesh walls. 50 lbs. of weight per leg seems to be and industry standard. You can make your own weights, or purchase. But each leg should be weighted at the bottom. This is what prevents the tent from blowing over, and becoming a sail! Have a good weekend- my first indoor show of the season is tomorrow!

This is the model I purchased several years ago. I recommend you also purchase the sta-bars from flourish, and have the top waterproofed after the first year. The sidewalls are NOT waterproof.
They are the largest wholesaler of EZ Up canopies. Look at the Enterprize 11. It has a STEEL frame (not aluminum) and a heavy duty top. It's $399. EZ Up makes a lower grade unit for the Box stores. It's a standard practice.
I know pop ups get a bad rap but I bought a KD canopy (they are the inventor of the pop up) in 1987 and I had it for well over 25 years. And I used it almost every weekend during the summer. But it cost $700 back then. It has withstood 60 MPH winds coming off the ocean in Gloucester, Mass. It has withstood heavy winds that twisted a brand new Craft Hut.
I still have it but as I'm getting older, a 70 lb canopy is just getting too heavy, so I got an Enterprize ll. It'll last until I retire.
You can get a one day pass for Sam's Club, or order the canopy at their website. There is a 10% extra charge if you aren't a Sam's Club member, but the shipping is free. Cost with 10 % was just about $220. Model is ES100. Foot plates are excellent, and you can buy replacement parts at Sam's online also. ( including the foot plates in case you have an EZ up that doesn't have them. I believe they are either $14.99 or $19.99 for a set of four.
Thanks Robin that is very good to know. Here is the sears tent. It has a steel frame and not the Alum. one which is sold by Sam's and others. While I realize that steel would be heavier, I wonder if it is stronger. This tent is on sale for $145.00 but doesn't come with sides.

I almost always use my sides, at least one, and of course if it's a two day show you need them. The awning also comes in handy in summers as the sun can be too hot on your stuff. Good luck Paul!
About 6 years ago I bought a tent from sam's club for 200. It had sides and all the bells and whistles but flew apart in 15 mile an hour winds. (yes it was well weighed down) I was told later, could have been BS! that the 3rd rate tents were dumped on Sam's for quick cheap sale. I tried to take it back because they said it had a guarantee, good luck with that. I got no where. I bought it through a friend and she quit Sams over the incident.
You could have a different experience. Just make sure you tent is not a "open canopy" you need the cross truss pieces ( the ones that go across and even with the bottom of the pole and middle of the sides.) or it won't hold up worth sh#t. They have caravan too. I haven't had to recoat the top of my tent. I keep meaning to run some stuff on the seams but haven't had too. good luck
